Controller

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting.
• Evaluate existing accounting workflows and redesign processes to improve efficiency, scalability, and internal controls.
• Drive automation initiatives by reducing manual processes and implementing technology-driven solutions.
• Partner with executive leadership to establish best practices and support the organization's long-term growth strategy.
• Participate in accounting system implementations, upgrades, and process optimization projects.
• Build, mentor, and develop an accounting team while fostering a collaborative, accountable, and continuous improvement culture.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable financial reporting requirements.
• Develop and strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures.
• Aid with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and strategic financial planning.
• Cook with external auditors, tax professionals, and other business partners.
• Identify opportunities to leverage emerging technologies, including AI tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance or similar.
• 7-10+ years of experience with 3+ years of management experience.
• CPA preferred.
• System Implementation experience a plus.
• ChatGPT, Claude experience preferred.
• ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills.
