About the role

This is a highly visible leadership role reporting directly to the CFO with the opportunity to influence organizational strategy, improve processes, and mentor a talented finance team.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee accounting, financial reporting, treasury, cash management, and internal controls.
  • Lead the annual external audit process, including nonprofit and grant reporting.
  • Oversee Form 990 coordination and financial compliance.
  • Support organization-wide budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
  • Present financial information and recommendations to executive leadership and Board committees.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a finance organization while fostering continuous improvement.
  • Drive technology, automation, and AI initiatives to improve efficiency and reporting.
  • Partner cross-functionally to support strategic business decisions and organizational growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance leadership experience.
  • Strong nonprofit accounting experience, including Form 990 exposure.
  • Experience leading external audits, grant reporting, budgeting, and financial reporting.
  • Passion for process improvement, automation, and leveraging AI within finance.
  • CPA and/or public accounting background highly preferred.
  • Qualifications
