Controller

Responsibilities

• Oversee the general ledger and maintain accurate financial records to support day-to-day accounting operations.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and deliver timely reporting that supports business decision-making.
• Lead the month-end close process, including account reconciliations, journal entries, and review of supporting documentation.
• Manage document control activities by organizing, tracking, and maintaining financial and operational records.
• Cook up document scanning workflows to ensure files are digitized accurately and stored in an accessible manner.
• Compile and review records for completeness, consistency, and compliance with internal standards.
• Monitor accounting processes and recommend improvements that strengthen efficiency, accuracy, and record retention practices.
• Possess a deep understanding of document control practices, records organization, and scanning workflows.
• Ensure all financial data and compiled documents are handled with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Work independently while coordinating effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Have knowledge of accounting principles, internal controls, and reporting best practices.

Requirements

• Experience managing general ledger activities in a controller or senior accounting capacity.
• Strong background in preparing financial statements and monthly financial reporting packages.
• Demonstrated ability to oversee month-end close and maintain accurate supporting documentation.
• Familiarity with document control practices, records organization, and scanning workflows.
• A high level of accuracy and attention to detail when handling financial data and compiled documents.
