Location: 52 Hyers Street, Toms River, New Jersey 08753. This is a full-time, 40-hour per week position.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the CFO to promote teamwork within the Finance Department and Finance/MIS Team.
- Monitor and meet deadlines for fiscal reporting, including ensuring staff adherence with the monthly closing schedule.
- Oversee journal entry preparation and input to the General Ledger for monthly close.
- Investigate unusual fluctuations in expenses or revenue and report to the CFO.
- Oversee bank deposits, posting of cash to the General Ledger, and reconciliation of bank accounts.
- Collaborate with the CFO to prepare budgets, budget modifications, and ROEs for assigned programs.
- Maintain organized records/files and attend meetings with funders as required.
- Prepare work papers for fiscal year-end and interface with independent and state auditors to ensure no material findings or recommendations are reported.
- Ensure the highly complex budget matrix mandated by the State is prepared and updated accurately as needed.
- Prepare analytical reports required for the Executive Director, PBHG Board of Directors, and Oaks Integrated Care.
- Work closely with the RCM Director to ensure timely collection of revenues from all available fee-for-service funding sources.
- Supervise Accounts Payable activities to ensure timely payment of vendor and client-related bills based on supporting documentation required by funders.
- Oversee agency cash management operations and submit weekly reports on Cash On Hand to the CFO and CEO.
- Ensure accounting records are maintained in accordance with acceptable accounting principles, statutes, regulations, and contractual obligations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the CFO.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
- 10 years’ experience in Non-Profit Accounting and Financial Management strongly preferred.
Skills
- Proficient written and verbal communication.
- Maintain effective working relationships with program directors, contract administrators, and agency senior staff.
- Ability to multitask and handle fast-paced situations.
- Supervisory skills.
- Perform job responsibilities with minimal supervision from the CFO.

Pay
Salary Range: $100,000.00 - $110,000.00.
