About the RoleOur client is seeking an Controller to oversee the firm's accounting operations and financial reporting across multiple entities. This role will own the month-end close process, maintain the integrity of the general ledger, support regulatory reporting, and partner with leadership to improve accounting processes as the firm continues to grow.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the month-end close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reportingManage accounts payable, employee expenses, and corporate credit card activityPrepare clearing entries and reconcile trading activity to the general ledgerPerform intercompany allocations and eliminations across multiple entitiesSupport payroll accounting, partner capital accounting, and K-1 schedulesAssist with daily net capital calculations, FOCUS reporting, and other regulatory filingsPrepare lender reporting, management reports, budgets, and forecastsCoordinate annual audits and maintain strong internal controlsImprove accounting processes and leverage technology to increase efficiencyPartner with trading, operations, and leadership to resolve accounting issues and support business initiativesQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred6+ years of accounting experience within financial servicesBroker-dealer, proprietary trading, or capital markets experience preferredKnowledge of multi-entity accounting and partnership structuresFamiliarity with net capital calculations, FOCUS reporting, and broker-dealer regulations is a plusExperience with NetSuite preferred; Numeric, Ramp, or Rippling is a plusAdvanced Excel skills and strong analytical abilitiesHighly organized with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environmentWhy Join?High-impact role with direct exposure to leadershipOpportunity to build and improve accounting processesModern finance technology stack with automation toolsCollaborative, entrepreneurial culture with strong growth potentialBenefitsCompetitive compensation and bonus100% employer-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company matchUnlimited PTOCommuter benefitsFree meals, snacks, and beveragesTeam events and happy hours
