Job Details
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Controller to join our thriving Engineering team. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional with a strong understanding of business and financial principles, possessing a proven track record in strategic planning, financial reporting and ownership of accounting. This role will involve overseeing all financial activities, including month-end, reporting, and cash flow. The Controller will be responsible for ensuring our company's financial security, integrity, and transparency. Responsibilities
- Oversee all company accounts and investments.
- Create monthly and annual reports to identify results, trends, and financial forecasts.
- Manage cash flow by tracking transactions and regularly reviewing internal reports.
- Synchronize all operations and processes of the finance department.
- Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported.
- Establish and implement financial reporting systems to comply with government regulations and legislation.
- Collaborate with auditing services to ensure proper compliance with all regulations.
- Develop budgets and financial plans for the company based on research and data reports.
- Review all financial plans and budgets regularly to look for cost reduction opportunities.
- Examine all financial reports and data closely to check for discrepancies.
- Create systems to prevent errors in data collection and calculations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in a business or finance environment; management experience; corporate and financial planning experience.
- Proven experience as a Controller, Accounting Supervisor, or Senior Accountant, particularly in the manufacturing industry.
- Strong understanding of business and financial principles and practices.
- Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting models.
- Proficiency in Epicor.
- Solid analytical and decision-making skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities.
