About the role
The Controller at Paris Regional Health supports the mission, values, and objectives of the department and organization. They develop and implement departmental goals, plans, and standards, direct and evaluate departmental operations, manage staffing activities, prepare and monitor budgets, coordinate internal/external audits, and foster an environment for professional growth.
Responsibilities
- Develops and implements departmental goals, plans, and standards consistent with the clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization.
- Directs and evaluates departmental operations, including patient care delivery, information technologies, service level determination, and complaint management, to achieve performance and quality control objectives.
- Plans and monitors staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives.
- Prepares, monitors, and evaluates departmental budgets, and ensures that the department operates in compliance with allocated funding.
- Captures and coordinates internal/external audits.
- Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth.
- Ensures department stays focused on their important role in the continuum of care.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting required.
- Experience in healthcare finance or accounting preferred.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
