We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Controller to join our team. This critical role will oversee the entire financial management of our marketing operations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance in all financial matters. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned financial professional with a strong background in accounting, a deep understanding of financial reporting principles, and a knack for identifying discrepancies and resolving them efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all general ledger activities, including preparing and reviewing journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close procedures.
- Analyze sales data and provide insightful financial reports to support strategic decision-making processes.
- Ensure all financial operations align with company policies and regulatory guidelines.
- Resolve any discrepancies in financial reports and accounts, identifying issues and implementing solutions promptly.
- Manage the preparation of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Work closely with the marketing team to develop budgets and financial plans.
- Implement and maintain financial controls and procedures to ensure the accuracy of financial data.
- Use financial software such as NetSuite and Craftable Plus to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.
- Provide leadership and support to the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Participate in special projects and perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A CPA or MBA is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the marketing or hospitality industry.
- Extensive knowledge of financial reporting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with financial software such as NetSuite and Craftable Plus.
- Strong understanding of general ledger functions, including the preparation of journal entries and month-end close procedures.
- Experience in analyzing sales data and preparing accurate financial reports.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with a proven ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Pay
$85,000 - $110,000 per year
