Job Details

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules
• Handle general ledger activity, journal entries, and account reconciliations
• Absorb cash receipts, disbursements, AP, and payroll functions
• Cook up annual audits and prepare audit support schedules
• Support state, federal, and grant reporting requirements
• Absorb fund accounting and restricted fund tracking
• Participate in ERP/system implementation initiatives
• Work cross-functionally with departments across the organization
• Absorb assistance with budgeting and financial reporting processes

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5+ years of accounting experience required
• Experience with computerized accounting systems
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and financial reporting
• Fund accounting, nonprofit, government, or higher education accounting experience preferred
• Audit coordination experience highly preferred
• ERP implementation exposure is a plus
• Strong Excel and systems skills
