Key Responsibilities

• Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Maintain general ledger, perform account reconciliations, and oversee month-end and year-end close processes.
• Serve as the primary finance lead for MultiView and Paylocity, including system optimization, report development, data integrity, and training of team members on relevant modules.
• Ensure strong internal controls, support external audits, and maintain compliance with GAAP, GASB, FASB, HFMA guidelines, Medicare Cost Report requirements, and Critical Access Hospital-specific regulations.
• Aid the CFO with annual operating and capital budgets, variance analysis, and financial forecasting.
• Work within and help lead a small finance team. Provide mentorship, cross-train staff, and foster a collaborative environment.
• Support Medicare Cost Report preparation and other regulatory filings. Perform financial analysis to support decision-making for rural healthcare challenges (e.g., low-volume adjustments, swing bed utilization).
• Manage fixed assets, payroll accounting support as needed, cash management, and special projects assigned by the CFO.
• Show strong working knowledge of MultiView and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
• Show experience with general ledger and accounting systems.
