About the Role
A growing healthcare provider seeks a skilled Controller to oversee financial operations and support strategic planning. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, with CPA certification preferred, and minimum of 3 years of accounting/auditing experience.
Responsibilities
Oversee general ledger activity, reconciliations, monthly close, and preparation of financial statements and reports.
Analyze financial performance, monitor variances, and develop trend and KPI reporting to support decision-making.
Prepare monthly financial statements, including Statements of Financial Position, Cash Flows, Operations, and Changes in Net Assets.
Partner with the AVP of Finance and senior leadership on annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
Monitor vendor costs, project budgets, and cash projections to ensure financial stability and compliance.
Support grant budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance activities, including UDS, 330 Grant, and 340B reporting requirements.
Assist with Medicare, Medicaid, and other government-related financial reporting and reimbursement activities.
Oversee payroll, accounts payable, contract compliance, and financial oversight of equipment and inventory.
Supervise and mentor finance team members while promoting collaboration and operational excellence.
Facilitate audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting requirements.
Care for equipment and inventory oversight in partnership with Facilities, Clinical, and Operations teams.
Supervise AP Clerk, Accounting Clerks, and Senior/Staff Accountants.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
CPA preferred
Minimum of (3) years of accounting/auditing experience to include preparation of GAAP financial statements
Minimum of (2) years of supervisory experience in a controller position
Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and their application
Qualifications
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
