About the role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Permanent Controller to join our dynamic team in the Engineering Industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and supervising all aspects of our company's financial activities, including inventory management, financial analysis, QuickBooks entries, Excel-based financial tasks, and preparing monthly reports. The Controller will play a pivotal role in driving our company's financial operations and improving financial performance.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all company accounts and investments.
- Supervise, track, and evaluate day-to-day financial activities.
- Manage and oversee the entire accounting team.
- Conduct necessary trainings to keep the team's skills and knowledge up to date.
- Ensure all necessary documents are requested, collected, and compiled.
- Review accounting information to identify and resolve inaccuracies or imbalances.
- Utilize accounting IT systems to facilitate processes and maintain records.
- Prepare accurate monthly financial reports for executive leadership.
- Manage financial accounting, monitoring, and reporting systems.
- Ensure compliance with laws and company policies.
- Manage and track the performance of invested assets in alignment with company policies and investment guidelines.
- Implement operational best practices related to inventory control, financial analysis, and reporting.
- Oversee transaction processing systems and design, implement, and manage internal controls over financial reporting.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field required.
- Master’s degree or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is preferred.
- Proven experience as a financial controller, accounting supervisor, or senior accountant for a minimum of 5 years.
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, procedures, and legislation.
- Hands-on experience with accounting software, especially QuickBooks.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and familiarity with other financial management software.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Exceptional time management skills and the ability to multitask.
- Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
- High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.

Pay
$100,000 - $125,000 per year
