Job Details

  • Overseeing the operations of the accounting department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives.
  • Supervising the accounting team and providing guidance and support.
  • Developing and implementing best practices for financial management and control.
  • Producing accurate and timely financial reports and presenting findings and recommendations to the management team.
  • Ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations and statutory requirements.
  • Working closely with external auditors to ensure proper compliance with all regulations.
  • Managing the production of the annual budget and forecasts, and report variances.
  • Coinciding the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit.
  • Maintaining debt levels and compliance with debt covenants.
  • Overseeing the financial operations of subsidiary companies and foreign operations.
  • Managing any third parties to which financial functions have been outsourced.
  • Implementing and managing financial systems, including Oracle.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position.
  • Proficiency in using financial software, particularly Oracle.
  • Strong understanding of economic and banking processes.
  • Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles.
  • Solid experience coordinating audit activities and managing reporting, budget development and analysis, accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, payroll, and accounting for investments.
  • Adept at process improvements and systems implementation.
  • Excellent leadership skills with a proven ability to manage and develop teams.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
  • Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.

Salary: $150,000 - $185,000 per year
