About the role

The Controller will perform and oversee core financial and accounting processes while collaborating with company leaders to advance growth and operational success. This role ensures the integrity of company financials and provides financial analysis and insights to drive efficiencies. Accurate reporting and analysis for timely decision-making are critical, along with leveraging financial data to monitor KPIs, costing, budgeting, forecasting, and the overall financial health of the organization. The Controller will build relationships externally with the Board and business partners, as well as internally across departments, while fostering a collaborative team environment. This position reports directly to the CEO and leads the accounting team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and ensure the integrity of company financials.
• Provide financial analysis and insights to drive operational efficiencies.
• Deliver accurate financial reporting and analysis for timely decision-making.
• Leverage financial data for KPI tracking, costing, budgeting, forecasting, and monitoring financial health.
• Build relationships with external partners (Board, business stakeholders) and internal departments.
• Lead and develop the accounting team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (required); advanced degree (a plus).
• Minimum of five years of experience in an accounting/finance role, including cost accounting.
• Experience providing leadership to a department or team.
• Proficiency with technology; ERP software experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated community involvement (a plus).
