An established manufacturing organization is seeking a Controller to oversee financial operations for a production facility and serve as a key business partner to operational leadership. This role is responsible for financial reporting, cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, inventory controls, and performance analysis in a dynamic manufacturing environment. The Controller will play a critical role in driving financial visibility, supporting operational decision-making, and identifying opportunities to improve profitability and efficiency. Responsibilities Lead the monthly close process and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting.Prepare and analyze financial statements, operating results, and key performance metrics.Develop annual budgets, forecasts, and long-range financial plans.Monitor business performance and provide actionable insights to leadership through financial analysis and variance reporting.Maintain and enhance standard costing processes and methodologies.Analyze material, labor, and overhead variances and recommend corrective actions.Oversee inventory accounting, valuation, cycle count programs, and physical inventory processes.Ensure accurate costing of products, projects, and production activities.Support pricing, margin analysis, and profitability initiatives.Partner closely with operations leadership to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve efficiency.Monitor production and operational performance metrics and identify areas for continuous improvement.Participate in process improvement initiatives and support operational excellence efforts.Maintain effective internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting policies and reporting requirements.Support internal and external audit activities.Lead, mentor, and develop accounting team members while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.  Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.Professional certification (CPA, CMA, or equivalent) is a plus.Progressive experience in accounting and finance roles, including leadership responsibilities.Experience supporting manufacturing, operations, or other complex business environments.Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting, and internal controls.Experience partnering with operational leaders to drive performance and support business decisions.Proficiency with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and Excel skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage priorities, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
