Responsibilities

  • Lead the monthly close process and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, operating results, and key performance metrics.
  • Develop annual budgets, forecasts, and long-range financial plans.
  • Monitor business performance and provide actionable insights to leadership through financial analysis and variance reporting.
  • Maintain and enhance standard costing processes and methodologies.
  • Analyze material, labor, and overhead variances and recommend corrective actions.
  • Oversee inventory accounting, valuation, cycle count programs, and physical inventory processes.
  • Ensure accurate costing of products, projects, and production activities.
  • Support pricing, margin analysis, and profitability initiatives.
  • Partner closely with operations leadership to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve efficiency.
  • Monitor production and operational performance metrics and identify areas for continuous improvement.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives and support operational excellence efforts.
  • Maintain effective internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting policies and reporting requirements.
  • Support internal and external audit activities.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop accounting team members while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • Professional certification (CPA, CMA, or equivalent) is a plus.
  • Progressive experience in accounting and finance roles, including leadership responsibilities.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, operations, or other complex business environments.
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting, and internal controls.
  • Experience partnering with operational leaders to drive performance and support business decisions.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
  • Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and Excel skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage priorities, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
