Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes for DCFC entities.
- Review and approve financial statements, account reconciliations and other supporting schedules.
- Ensure accuracy of revenue recognition, expense allocations, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Review month-end accounting packages (general ledger, trial balance, reconciliations, balance sheet, income statement) created by accounting manager/accountants to ensure compliance with established accounting principles and legal guidelines.
- Supervise and provide guidance to the accounting team.
- Assess current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement and implement new processes.
- Oversight and responsibility for Quickbooks accounting software. Assess Quickbooks accounting software and determine if meets current and future needs.
- Prepare/oversee monthly Board and investor reporting preparation.
- Oversight of DCFC corporate entity and subsidiaries’ financials, including monthly review and forecast, cash flow projection, as well as preparation of annual budget.
- Lead the annual audit process, working with CPA firm to provide documentation and management estimates.
- Work with CPA tax firm to provide financial information and investor information for preparation of tax returns and K-1s.
- Support CFO and organization with respect to stadium development and mixed use development projects. Work with CFO to determine cost accounting needs (software and staffing).
- Attend DCFC soccer matches and participate in / oversee cash handling processes for food and beverage, merchandise and ticketing.
- Prepare ad hoc financial reports as requested by management.
Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, or equivalent degree or equivalent education, training and experience required.
- CPA license and/or CMA certification preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting (ideally with sports industry experience) operating as a Controller/Assistant Controller/Accounting Manager/senior property accountant.
- Minimum of 2+ years supervising accounting team members.
- Proficient computer skills, including Google Suite, Microsoft Office (advanced Excel user) and proficiency with Quickbooks (or comparable accounting software) preferred.
