Controller – Industrial Manufacturing $140K–$175K Base + 20% Bonus | Durant, MS Area | 4 Days In-Office A growing industrial manufacturing company in the Durant, Mississippi area is seeking an experienced Controller to oversee its accounting function and partner closely with operations and executive leadership. Reporting directly to the CFO, this highly visible, hands-on role will focus on strengthening financial reporting, improving processes and controls, and driving operational and financial performance. Responsibilities Oversee daily accounting operations, including GL, AP, AR, payroll, fixed assets, and month-end close.Lead financial reporting, variance analysis, and management reporting.Manage inventory accounting, cost accounting, reconciliations, and related controls.Partner with operations to analyze costs, margins, labor, and overall financial performance.Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and working capital reporting.Strengthen internal controls, accounting processes, and financial systems.Coordinate audits, tax compliance, and banking requirements.Lead and develop the accounting team while providing strategic financial insights to leadership. Qualifications 8+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including prior leadership experience.Background in manufacturing, industrial, distribution, or other operationally complex environments preferred.Strong knowledge of inventory, cost accounting, GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.Proven ability to improve accounting processes, systems, and reporting.Hands-on leadership style with strong operational and cross-functional collaboration skills.Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or public accounting experience a plus.
