Controller

Responsibilities

• Work with project managers on projections, job set-up including estimates, change orders, and contract billing.
• Closely monitor the WIP (Work in Progress) and backlog.
• Manage the accounting department and serve as backup for all accounting roles, including AP, AR, payroll, and service billing.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and weekly cash flow projections.
• Monitor collections and provide weekly lists of past-due invoices for follow-up.
• Post daily cash receipts into Spectrum.
• Weekly selection of AP checks for distribution, holding subcontractor checks as "paid when paid."
• Daily approval of AP invoices sent to project managers to verify costs, correct job/phase, and review overhead AP.
• Process monthly Crete invoices and make BOA ACH payments.
• Process credit card payments, insurance, vehicle fleet, and rent payments.
• Conduct annual general ledger and workers' compensation insurance reviews.

Pay

Up to $120,000 base salary (BOE).
