Key Responsibilities Of The Controller
- Lead the accounting function and serve as a key financial partner to operational leadership
- Play a significant role in the implementation of new business systems
- Oversee the budgeting and forecasting process, providing meaningful financial insights to leadership
- Manage and enhance WIP reporting to ensure accurate project financial visibility
- Partner closely with project managers to review costs, profitability, and overall project performance
- Act as the primary financial liaison between accounting, operations, service, and project teams
- Develop financial reporting that helps leaders make informed business decisions
- Monitor financial performance trends and identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies
- Support month-end and year-end close activities while maintaining strong internal controls
Requirements For The Controller
- Construction, mechanical contracting, or project-based industry experience is required
- Bachelors degree in Accounting with prior Controller experience or experience in a senior accounting leadership role
- Experience participating in or leading ERP/software implementations
