Controller

Job Responsibilities

• Oversight of all accounting, finance, and reporting functions
• Lead daily financial operations, including general accounting, payables, receivables, payroll, and grant related activities
• Prepare and review financial reports, cash flow analyses, budgets, and other management reporting tools
• Cookordination of audits, regulatory reporting, and compliance efforts while maintaining strong internal controls
• Partner with executive leadership to support strategic planning, financial decision making, and organizational growth

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field; advanced education
• 6+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience with increasing levels of responsibility
• Prior leadership experience managing accounting staff and financial operations
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, budgeting, and audit processes
• Previous experience working within nonprofit organizations, grant funded environments, or contract funded programs

• A professional certification
• Strong leadership, project management, and process improvement skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments
• Ability to handle confidential information while maintaining professionalism and sound judgment
• Highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a mission-driven environment
