The Controller plays a critical role in overseeing the accounting functions across headquarters and international subsidiaries. This position requires a strong leader who can navigate the complexities of global accounting while managing a diverse team. The Controller will be instrumental in ensuring financial accuracy and compliance, particularly in the gaming and technology sectors. The role demands a hands-on approach to financial reporting and audit processes, making it essential for candidates to possess relevant experience. Responsibilities
- Oversight of accounting functions across all entities and subsidiaries in various countries
- Management of the accounting team and direct reports in international locations
- Timely financial close and reporting
- Handling revenue recognition and deferred revenue work for hardware and software
- Cooking accounts payable and payroll as needed
- Collaboration with external auditors for technical accounting support
- Supporting international operations and coordinating across time zones
- Interacting with treasury and financial documents
- Providing audit support and broader accounting leadership
- Leading and mentoring team members as necessary
Requirements
- International experience
- Software experience
- Hardware experience
- Audit experience
- Gaming experience
- CPA is preferred
- Experience with revenue recognition / 606 is preferred
- Experience with subsidiaries and international accounting is preferred
- Controller experience in tech or gaming-adjacent environments is preferred
- Ability to manage across entities and partner with executives is preferred
