About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Controller to take charge of their accounting and financial operations. This role sits at the center of strategic decision-making and operational excellence—the perfect opportunity for a seasoned accounting professional looking for their next senior-level role. As the company’s first true Controller, you’ll report directly to the CEO/President and will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong internal controls, accounting policies, inventory calculation methods, and product costing processes while delivering actionable insights to leadership.

This role requires the ability to operate both strategically and tactically, maintaining hands-on engagement with the books while producing financial models and tax filings. Success in this role requires a confident, collaborative leader who can communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.

Requirements

• 7+ years of accounting leadership experience in Manufacturing or Distribution
• QuickBooks proficiency (required)
• Experience within the wood products industry (preferred)
• ERP experience (a major plus)
