About the role
This position may qualify for a sign-on bonus.
The Controller is responsible for the General Accounting portion of the BHS Finance Department. This includes General Ledger reporting, Accounts Payable, Payroll, and Fixed Asset Accounting. Responsibilities include:
- Ensuring accuracy of BHS Financial Statements, in particular the expense portion of the Income Statement
- Reviewing all Balance Sheet Reconciliations
- Financial reporting to Vanguard
- Supporting financial audits performed on BHS facilities
- Supporting the needs of Senior Management, Regional, and Facility Department Directors
- Completing established competencies for the position within designated introductory period
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance (required)
- 5 years of Healthcare Accounting Experience (required)
- 3 years of Supervisory experience (required)
- CPA Certificate (preferred)
