Controller

About the role

Andrews & Cole is seeking a seasoned Controller for an interim engagement (approximately 3 months) at a private-equity-backed portfolio company in the greater Cherry Hill, NJ area. The Controller will partner with the CFO to maintain the general ledger, execute the monthly close process, and provide reporting for both management and the PE sponsor.

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end close and financial reporting.
• Support the overall budget and forecasting process.
• Oversee cash management.
• Monitor accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed assets.
• Improve accounting processes as needed.
• Work with outside vendors as required.
• Provide guidance to the team while remaining hands-on and actively involved in the work.

Requirements

• 5+ years of Controller experience.
• Proven expertise with month-end close, general ledger, and financial reporting.
• Strong Excel skills and experience working with accounting/ERP systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• A hands-on, accountable approach with excellent communication skills.
