Controller/ Accounting Manager

About the role

A Quality Facility Services (AQFS) is seeking a Controller / Accounting Manager to lead the company's accounting operations and drive its growth. This is a hands-on, impactful role where your ideas and contributions will be valued.

Responsibilities

• Manage and perform accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Reconcile bank statements and cash accounts
• Prepare general ledger entries and month-end adjustments
• Aid with payroll processing and accuracy checks
• Support monthly financial reporting and account reconciliations
• Aid with audit preparation and financial documentation
• Maintain organized and accurate financial records
• Support accounting and finance projects
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and efficiency
• Help ensure the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial information

Requirements

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Experience taking ownership of day-to-day accounting operations
• Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller, Controller, Senior Accountant, or similar experience preferred
• Strong Excel and accounting software skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organization
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with the team
• Willingness and ability to remain hands-on with day-to-day accounting responsibilities

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in accounting, finance, or business preferred
• Experience in public accounting or a CPA firm is a plus, but not required
