Control Technician

About the role

The role is for a controls technician with real PLC and Ignition experience who will be the local technical authority for a site, reducing reliance on fly-in engineers.

Responsibilities

• Work hands-on with PLC systems and Ignition environments, commissioning, starting up and troubleshooting live systems on site.
• Support data center project work and ongoing service needs.
• Make decisions independently rather than waiting for remote engineers.
• Regional travel across the Pacific Northwest may be required.

Requirements

• Around five years of hands-on controls field experience with independent commissioning.
• Strong practical PLC systems experience.
• Ability to work in Ignition environments.
• US work authorization, valid driver's license, and willingness to live within driving distance of Umatilla.

Qualifications

• No need to have a background in building controls, as this role values industrial automation experience.
• Ignition Core certification is a strong advantage, and the exam will be sponsored if needed.

Pay

$130,000 to $160,000 base, plus bonus and a controls profit-share that has been paying above target.

Schedule

Full time, on site, with regional travel across the Pacific Northwest, and extended or non-standard hours when a project demands it.
