Control Systems Engineer

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

• Manage, coordinate, and develop all aspects of Continuous Emission Monitoring Systems and Distributive Control Systems to ensure the facility operates safely.
• Maintain process-related systems; modify software and hardware to enhance process capabilities.
• Maintain communication between Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), and TCPIP-based systems.
• Regularly perform data analysis to better understand process capabilities.
• Train operations and maintenance personnel on relevant components of computer systems.
• Set up, install, and maintain PCs and related software.
• Collaborate with government and regulatory agencies on project activities.
• Be available to support systems during off-hours as needed.
• Maintain the ability to travel to other Arcwood locations up to 10% of the time.
• Take on additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or related field (required).

Experience

• 3+ years of experience working with PC operating systems, PLC, DCS, and/or SCADA programming applications (required).

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

• Visual Basic Database programming.
• PC/Server networking.
• Instrumentation and industrial control system design.
• ABB Bailey Infi 90 Allen Bradley PLC.
• RCPA and MACT regulations.
• TCP/IP networking and NT experience.
