Control Room Technician- Per Diem- Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania

Responsibilities

• Makes adjustments to Building Automation Systems (BAS) as needed.
• Monitors Medical Gas Systems and makes adjustments as needed.
• Monitors Elevators and reports any alarms or problems to Elevator Technicians.
• Monitors Pneumatic Tube Systems and makes needed adjustments if possible.
• Monitors Nurse Call Systems and makes adjustments as needed.
• Accepts and dispatches Maintenance service calls after hours, weekends, and holidays.
• Maintains logs for fire alarm, above ceiling, and hot work permits.
• Logs incidents and informs the next shift and supervisors of the status.
• Completes daily logs and reports.
• Logs/Tracks radios and iPads for staff distribution.
• Acts as a point of contact for vendors responding to service calls, logging their arrival and departure.
• Maintains systems during scheduled utility shutdowns.
• Checks in all outside vendors that are on site for service repairs.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma/GED
• 2+ years in a Trade School and some technical training in the Trades
• 5+ years experience in a Hospital or Large Facility
• Knowledge of Mechanical, HVAC & Electrical Systems is essential
