Control Engineer

Location: Jonesboro, Arkansas. Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite. Employment Type: Contract C2C/W2. Experience Level: 7‑10 years.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Control Engineer to provide onsite automation and control engineering support for manufacturing operations and capital projects. The role will focus on PLC, HMI, SCADA, historian systems, industrial communication networks, automation architecture, commissioning, startup, troubleshooting, and control-system improvements. The engineer will work closely with process, electrical, and project engineering teams to support reliable, safe, and compliant automation systems. Experience in FMCG, consumer products, food & beverage, or personal care manufacturing is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite automation and control engineering support for manufacturing operations and capital projects.
• Develop and review control philosophies, functional design specifications, and automation architectures.
• Support modifications and improvements to PLC, HMI, SCADA, and historian systems.
• Review vendor automation packages and integration requirements.
• Participate in FAT, SAT, commissioning, and startup activities.
• Troubleshoot control-system issues and implement corrective actions.
