About The Job
We are seeking qualified professionals to join our Central Control team. Employees are hired and employed by DK Security but are assigned to Central Control, the Security Operations Center supporting State of Michigan facilities. Operators work alongside State of Michigan personnel and under the day-to-day operational direction of Central Control leadership to provide exceptional service.
Shift Details
- 24/7/365 operation
- Security and life safety systems monitoring and emergency response coordination
- Serve as a central point of contact for agency security information and requests
- Military veterans and people with security, firefighting, department of corrections, or law enforcement experience are encouraged to apply
Common Duties
- Receive and process emergency information and requests
- Initiate emergency response efforts based on available information, established procedures, and best practices
- Coordinate response efforts and share information with various stakeholders
- Draft and send emergency response communications and after-action reports
- Utilize security systems to monitor and facilitate emergency response efforts
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Intermediate computer skills required
- Comfortable with Microsoft Office, Email, Internet, and able to learn new software
- At least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent education certification (GED)
- Pass a drug screening at the time of hire and randomly thereafter (including for marijuana)
- Not convicted of any felonies or misdemeanors related to dishonesty, fraud, impersonation of law enforcement, assault, weapons, unauthorized sale of information or evidence, controlled substances (including for marijuana), or two or more alcohol related offenses
- Able to sit, stand, and walk for 8-12 hours at a time
- Able to lift at least 50 lbs
- Able to see clearly at least 20 feet away (assisted with glasses or contact lenses if necessary)
- Able to hear conversations in loud environments either in-person or via radio
- Able to use a smart mobile phone and computer to type, check and respond to emails, and complete online training
- Able to fluently read, write, speak, and understand the English language
Education Requirements
- All positions require a High School Diploma or GED
