Contracts Specialist
Responsibilities
- Review and interpret client contracts to identify insurance requirements and compliance obligations.
- Issue insurance certificates that accurately reflect contractual insurance terms and conditions.
- Ensure all insurance documentation complies with client-specific contractual requirements and internal standards.
- Manage a high volume of time-sensitive contract and certificate requests while maintaining accuracy and completeness.
- Create and maintain simple formulas in Excel to support reporting, data validation, and documentation control.
- Maintain accurate records of contracts, insurance certificates, and related correspondence.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with internal stakeholders and external clients regarding insurance terms, certificate requests, and compliance matters.
- Identify discrepancies or gaps in insurance requirements and escalate or resolve them in line with established procedures.
- Support continuous improvement of contract review and insurance certificate issuance processes in a fast-paced, remote environment.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience reviewing and interpreting client contracts.
- At least 3 years of experience issuing insurance certificates.
- At least 3 years of experience ensuring compliance with contractual insurance requirements.
- Proficiency working within spreadsheets and creating simple formulas in Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in contract and insurance documentation.
- Solid contract comprehension and ability to interpret insurance-related clauses.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for interacting with clients and internal teams.
- Organizational skills to maintain structured and complete records of contracts and certificates.
Qualifications
- Experience in the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry.
- Experience in data entry with a focus on accuracy and consistency.
- Exposure to finance or insurance environments and terminology.
- Prior experience with contract review beyond insurance requirements.
- Familiarity with insurance practices and documentation processes.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting across various time zones.
