Contracts Specialist and Paralegal

Key Responsibilities

• Review, draft, and revise a variety of commercial contracts, amendments, and legal documents.
• Negotiate contractual terms and conditions with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
• Identify and assess legal, financial, and operational risks within contract language.
• Advise business leaders on contractual obligations, compliance requirements, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Interpret federal, state, and local regulations impacting contracts and company operations.
• Maintain and update standard contract templates, clauses, and legal documentation.
• Manage contract lifecycle processes, including tracking renewals, expirations, and key deadlines.
• Conduct legal and business research to support contract interpretation and decision-making.
• Maintain organized contract files and databases; generate reports as needed.
• Support the Legal Department with special projects, audits, dispute resolution preparation, and other paralegal duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred; Associate’s Degree, paralegal certificate, or equivalent experience considered.
• 1–3 years of paralegal experience.
• Experience reviewing and negotiating contracts preferred.
• Experience interpreting legal regulations and contractual language preferred.

Competencies

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and internet-based research.
• Working knowledge of Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint preferred.
• Strong analytical and written/verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and project management abilities.

Compensation And Benefits

Competitive Salary: $46,000 - $54,000 Annually
