Key Responsibilities
- Review, draft, and revise a variety of commercial contracts, amendments, and legal documents.
- Negotiate contractual terms and conditions with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
- Identify and assess legal, financial, and operational risks within contract language.
- Advise business leaders on contractual obligations, compliance requirements, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Interpret federal, state, and local regulations impacting contracts and company operations.
- Maintain and update standard contract templates, clauses, and legal documentation.
- Manage contract lifecycle processes, including tracking renewals, expirations, and key deadlines.
- Conduct legal and business research to support contract interpretation and decision-making.
- Maintain organized contract files and databases; generate reports as needed.
- Support the Legal Department with special projects, audits, dispute resolution preparation, and other paralegal duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred; Associate’s Degree, paralegal certificate, or equivalent experience considered.
- 1–3 years of paralegal experience.
- Experience reviewing and negotiating contracts preferred.
- Experience interpreting legal regulations and contractual language preferred.
Competencies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and internet-based research.
- Working knowledge of Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint preferred.
- Strong analytical and written/verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and project management abilities.
- Results-driven with the ability to make sound decisions with incomplete information.
- Strong interpersonal skills; professional, collaborative, and customer-focused.
- Effective negotiation and problem-solving skills.
Compensation And Benefits
Competitive Salary: $46,000 - $54,000 Annually
