Job Overview
This position supports the legal department and staff attorneys related to all corporate legal matters. Areas of responsibility include evaluating legal/contractual documents for compliance with terms and conditions, legal correspondence with Loomis customers, legal evaluations, litigation, and monitoring sensitive risk/financial-related data for trending.
Job responsibilities
- Support Loomis attorneys in reviewing, negotiating, and drafting i) service agreements; ii) vendor agreements; iii) real estate agreements; and iv) other cash management agreements. Responsible for ensuring contract terms and conditions meet the company’s contracting requirements
- Frequent interaction with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, vendors, landlords, and others, along with external counsel
- Routing legal notices and correspondence to the appropriate internal departments
- Limited contract review, revision, and redlining (depending on experience)
- Performing document and contract management
- Processing contract amendments
- Litigation support
- Supporting negotiation of Non-Disclosure Agreements
- Responding to various legal requests from sales teams
- Support research regarding legal contracting and contract management tools
- Responding to internal requests for contractual templates
- Aiding in contract dispute tracking and analysis
- Compliance- Supporting review and processing of legal invoices
- Supporting with departmental project audits
- Auditing petty cash (receipting process)
- Licensing issues
Primary Qualifications
- College degree with paralegal experience in handling corporate legal work, including real estate, contract negotiation, litigation, employment preferred
- Minimum of five years paralegal or contracts manager experience required
- Experience in either the transportation or financial services industries is a plus
Individual Skills and Competencies
- Excellent technical skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, are required
- Experience in an environment that requires multitasking and strong organizational skills
- Proven written and oral communication skills
