Contracts Manager
About the role
The Contracts Manager will oversee all aspects of contract administration, including negotiation, documentation, certification, financial reporting, and product delivery for major contracts. This position requires a strong understanding of State law and regulations, experience with multiple contract types, and good analytical and organizational skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide guidance to the business on contract-related issues and challenges.
- Draft, review, compile, and negotiate client-facing contractual documents, NDAs, teaming agreements, contract renewals, and other contractual matters.
- Aid or lead in negotiating contract terms from proposal stage to project close-out, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Prepare Florida Department of Transportation price proposals and audit packages.
- Review solicitation requests to ensure contractual and commercial compliance.
- Coordinate approval of negotiations, contracts, and subcontracts with appropriate management staff.
- Provide advice on and interpret contract requirements and risk mitigation strategies.
- Assist in developing internal subcontract administrators by providing guidance and work leadership.
- Maintain current knowledge of relevant contractual procedures and practices.
- Perform such other duties as the supervisor may deem necessary.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field, with a minimum of eight years relevant experience.
- Master’s degree in Business Administration or related field, with a minimum of six years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge and working familiarity with State law and regulations.
- Experience with multiple contract types, performance-based contracting, and professional services.
- Good analytical and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks within tight time constraints.
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations and effectively utilize PC and applicable software.
- Contracts Management credentials from NCMA preferred.
- Prior experience with Design/Build contracts, especially with advanced knowledge of Design Build contract risks and interpretations, including Progressive Design Build (Designer perspective).

Pay
$120,000 - $135,000 annually, depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
