Contracts Management Specialist

Core Functions

  • Counsels on and reviews proposed contract language.
  • Reviews and revises proposed contracts, ensuring compliance with company policy/guidelines and legal requirements.
  • Affirms business terms to ensure the contract aligns with the company/business unit goals.
  • Collaborates with vendors/payors to address and resolve contract issues, drafting and executing contract documents as necessary.
  • Interprets contract language and resolves issues by reviewing and creating contract documentation.
  • Supports contract monitoring and tool usage by reviewing and interpreting contracts, extracting key information, and staying updated on changes at company locations.
  • Maintains contract and correspondence file systems, key activity date reports, and contract workflow logs.
  • Participates in major projects as required.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare, or a related field.
  • Three (3) years’ experience in contract management/negotiation.
  • Demonstrated skills in problem analysis and resolution, contract management, and negotiation across various specialties including information systems, procurement, real estate, equipment leases, and managed care.
  • Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects independently and handle flexible work environments.
  • Strong computer and database skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Paralegal Certificate or equivalent.
  • Knowledge or experience with HIPAA.
  • Additional related experience and/or education.
