Contracts Associate 3
The Western EcoSystems Technology, Inc. (WEST) is seeking a full-time Contracts Associate. Located in Cheyenne, WY, Laramie, WY, or Fort Collins, CO, this position offers a competitive salary range from $55,000 to $65,000, with potential for annual profit-sharing bonuses. WEST is a dynamic environmental consulting firm with a focus on ecological studies and data analysis.
About the Role
WEST is looking for a Contracts Specialist with a strong background in contracts, procurement, or a related field. The ideal candidate will have 3 to 7 years of experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, interpret, and negotiate a wide range of contracts.
- Auditing legal documents for accuracy and compliance.
- Manage the entire contract lifecycle, including renewals, amendments, and closeouts.
- Develop and implement contracts management processes and best practices.
- Maintain a centralized repository of key contractual language.
- Provide training and support on contract processes and compliance.
- Support the Client Resource Management (CRM) VantagePoint system.
- Provide administrative support to the Contracts Manager and senior leadership.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Legal Studies, Contract Management, or a related field preferred.
- 3 to 7 years of progressive experience in professional contracting, procurement, or a related legal/business function.
- Demonstrated ability to independently negotiate and manage complex contracts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess risk and recommend practical solutions.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Superior organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple high-priority tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, completeness, and timeliness in all transactions.
- Proven ability to maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive information and documentation.
- Self-motivated with the ability to make sound independent decisions and work proactively in a dynamic environment.
- Experience developing and delivering training on contracts processes and compliance topics.
