About the role
IUSD is looking for someone skilled at reviewing contracts, managing vendors, and navigating purchasing processes. Highly regarded for our outstanding educational programs and organizational culture, we are expanding our procurement team to support both our local schools and the statewide purchasing consortiums we lead.
What You’ll Do
- Manage Technology & General Contracts: Review, negotiate, and manage vendor agreements, software licenses (SaaS), data privacy agreements, and fiscal contracts to protect the district’s interests.
- Support Procurement Processes: Guide departments through competitive purchasing processes, including formal bids and RFPs, ensuring transparency and efficiency.
- Partner with Leadership: Collaborate closely with district leadership, department heads, and legal experts to find creative solutions for complex procurement needs.
- Facilitate Statewide Programs: Support professional organizations and statewide purchasing consortiums led by IUSD.
- Optimize Workflows: Help refine and maintain internal workflows for procurement and contract management to keep our operations running smoothly.
- Ensure Compliance: Ensure all agreements and purchases adhere to necessary public procurement rules, state/federal regulations, and best practices.
What You Bring
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in business, public administration, contracts, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in contract review, procurement, or purchasing. Experience in public procurement or technology selection processes are highly valued - we will train you on school district regulations.
- Core Skills: Strong organization, and communication abilities, with a sharp eye for detail in legal terms and conditions.
