About the role
The Contractor In Charge (CIC) oversees all aspects of construction projects, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, budget constraints, and project timelines.
Responsibilities
- Oversee project execution from start to finish
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and industry standards
- Manage team members and contractors to meet project goals
- Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders
- Monitor project costs and adjust as necessary
- Prepare and present project progress reports
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in construction management
- Proven ability to manage teams and projects
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- Pass a background check
- Construction management software proficiency (e.g., Procore, ArchiCAD)
- Project management tools (e.g., Gantt charts, resource allocation)
- Leadership and team-building abilities
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills
