About the role
The Contractor In Charge (CIC) oversees all aspects of a construction project, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and budget constraints. This role requires strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of construction management.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations and ensure project timelines are met
- Manage subcontractors and vendors to maintain project integrity
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations
- Collaborate with clients to address concerns and resolve issues
- Prepare and present regular progress reports to stakeholders
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in construction management
- Proven ability to lead and mentor a team
- Strong knowledge of construction industry practices and codes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Construction management software proficiency (e.g., Procore, ArchiCAD)
- Project management tools (e.g., Gantt charts, Asana)
- Leadership and team management
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills
