About the role

The Contract Talent Acquisition Specialist will seek out qualified candidates, screen their qualifications, and complete the onboarding process. This role involves identifying future hiring needs, designing job descriptions, sourcing candidates through databases and social media, conducting interviews, preparing paperwork, and staying updated on employment law and legislation.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with hiring managers to understand position requirements, verify job descriptions, and develop sourcing strategies to attract candidates.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of internal and external recruiting processes, including maintaining manpower requisition records, creating job postings, sourcing, screening, scheduling interviews, making job offers, conducting background/reference checks, and coordinating pre-employment drug tests.
  • Oversee the onboarding process, including coordinating new hire activities, conducting orientation, and completing paperwork.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to hiring managers and candidates, influencing hiring decisions.
  • Manage job board accounts and the Applicant Tracking System to track interview slates and build robust candidate pipelines.
  • Deliver quality candidate slates using validated and creative recruiting methodologies.
  • Proactively source passive candidates through LinkedIn, Indeed, networking, social media, and other channels.
  • Plan, coordinate, conduct, and attend job fairs.
  • Track and report recruiting metrics, benchmarking against industry standards.
  • Answer frequently asked questions from applicants and employees about policies, benefits, and hiring processes; escalate complex questions to HR team members.
  • Promote the company’s brand to attract talent and encourage participation in the employee referral bonus program.
  • Perform other assigned duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a Talent Acquisition role managing full-cycle, high-volume recruiting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask across several projects while meeting deadlines.
  • Proactive, organized, and detail-oriented.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and analytical skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact at all employee levels.
  • Ability to handle complex situations with few concrete variables.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
