About the role

The Louisville District is recruiting for a Contract Specialist in the Contracting Division located in Louisville, KY. The position will serve as a Senior Contract Specialist performing a full range of contract functions encompassing issuing solicitations, evaluating proposals, contract negotiations, execution and administration for complex and technical services and/or Construction and A/E programs.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed analysis of bids and proposals received, ensuring compliance with specifications on advertised procurements.
• Perform cost and price analysis for all negotiations to determine fair and reasonableness of price.
• Utilize innovation for strategic decision-making in the acquisition process.
• Perform contracting functions of higher than usual complexity, such as contracting functions where no contractual precedence exists.
