About the role

The Contract Specialist will draft, review, and manage multiple types of contract agreements while ensuring compliance and maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities

  • Draft and review multiple types of contract agreements
  • Manage contract data for timeliness, accuracy, and quality
  • Maintain complete, accurate, and up-to-date contract files
  • Negotiate and correspond with subcontractors and clients
  • Monitor contract compliance
  • Assist with responding to client questionnaires as part of the vendor setup process and addressing legal-related questions from clients
  • Negotiate contract terms, extensions, terminations, and renegotiations
  • Evaluate or monitor contract performance to determine necessity for amendments or extensions
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations
  • Approve or reject requests for deviations from contract specifications and delivery schedules in accordance with internal policy

Requirements

  • Associate degree and at least two years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Paralegal degree preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of FAR & DFARS rules and regulations
  • Experience in negotiation
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

  • Proficiency with advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and Internet research
  • Solid understanding and demonstration of client confidentiality
  • Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment, manage competing demands, and deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events
  • Critical thinking skills, using logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems

Schedule

Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. with additional hours as needed.
