Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, review, and maintain contract-specific quality procedures and processes that are practical for field use.
  • Coordinate inspections, surveillance, audits, and quality reviews across site activities.
  • Work with field teams to identify and resolve quality issues promptly, including nonconformances, corrective actions, and lessons learned.
  • Verify that materials, equipment, subcontracted work, and completed activities meet applicable requirements and have adequate supporting documentation.

  • Participate in planning meetings, pre-job briefs, field walkdowns, and work package reviews.
  • Partner with site safety leadership to ensure quality activities support safe work planning and execution.
  • Raise concerns and exercise stop-work authority when conditions warrant.

Required Qualifications

  • Significant experience implementing or managing QA/QC programs on large, complex field projects.
  • Experience interpreting contract requirements and incorporating them into procedures, work packages, inspection plans, and subcontractor requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of document control, inspections, nonconformance management, corrective action, and quality records.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with field crews, technical staff, subcontractors, and project leadership.
  • Strong written communication skills and the ability to produce clear procedures and defensible quality documentation.
  • Willingness and ability to work onsite and regularly access active mining and construction areas, subject to site requirements.
  • Minimum 20 years of experience required with a two-year degree minimum.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience on federal projects or at mining, remediation, heavy civil, industrial, or environmental sites.
  • Experience leading quality program startup or improving an existing program during active field work.
  • Familiarity with applicable federal contract quality requirements and recognized quality management standards.
  • Relevant degree, quality certification, or equivalent combination of education and field experience.

What Success Looks Like
