Contract Logistics IT Manager

As part of the Contract Logistics team at Kuehne+Nagel, you will play a key role in designing, managing, and optimizing solutions that keep goods moving efficiently. Your work ensures that our customers’ products—from everyday essentials to seasonal items—are stored, handled, and delivered with precision, impacting businesses and communities around the world.

The IT Manager is responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of Contract Logistics Information Systems (CL IS) solutions for implementation and ongoing hyperscale projects. This includes systems configuration, escalation paths, system and data quality, performance reporting, and training key users and warehouse management personnel to achieve business objectives. You will support and administer computer systems for hyperscale warehouse operations, including Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), scheduling tools, Business Intelligence applications, integration platforms, and customer-facing portals.

Responsibilities

• Lead WMS training and user support through a train-the-trainer approach, including developing work instructions and training documentation.
• Support new customer implementations by participating in system configuration, testing, validation, and go-live activities both onsite and remotely.
• Serve as the subject matter expert and primary escalation point for VMI WMS issues, ensuring system processes align with customer requirements and business needs.
• Coordinate system validation, audit support, and compliance activities, acting as a key partner for testing, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Manage and test WMS software releases and application updates, supporting change management initiatives and maintaining alignment with global customer requirements.
• Partner with operations on continuous improvement initiatives and support domestic and international customer implementations, including travel as required.

Requirements

• 3 years of experience with 3PL products, including warehouse management systems, transportation, scheduling, and change management tools.
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not mandatory if experience aligns with requirements.
• Advanced spoken and written English.
• Frequent domestic travel is expected (75%).
• High level of competency with Power BI, Excel, Planner, and other commonly used business tools.
• Basic SQL knowledge is a plus.

Base wage is part of a competitive total rewards package.
