Contract Logistics Human Resources Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead all on-site HR functions supporting a dynamic distribution environment. This role will partner closely with site leadership to drive employee engagement, operational effectiveness, and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all site HR functions including employee relations, compliance, payroll, workforce planning support.
  • Serve as a strategic partner to site leadership on organizational and people-related matters.
  • Maintain regular floor presence to build relationships and proactively address employee concerns.
  • Lead and document employee relations investigations and provide recommendations.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws (EEO, FLSA, FMLA, OSHA, etc.).
  • Analyze HR metrics (turnover, attendance, staffing levels) to inform business decisions.
  • Oversee performance management and employee development initiatives.
  • Utilize HRIS systems (UKG/Kronos) for data management, reporting, and payroll support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 7+ years of progressive HR experience.
  • 3+ years in distribution center, manufacturing, or similar environment.
  • Strong employee relations and investigations experience.
  • HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR) preferred.
  • Prior safety program support or management experience is a huge PLUS!

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field (or equivalent experience).

Skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Experience with HRIS systems (UKG/Kronos).
  • Knowledge of labor laws and regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Pay

$XX/X per hour or $XX,XXX/year, commensurate with experience.

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with occasional travel to Durham, NC (approx. 10%).
