Contract Development Analyst

Position Overview

The Contract Development Analyst position supports the Structural Heart (SH) Business Unit within Abbott. This is a fully onsite role based in Austin, TX.

Responsibilities

• Lead negotiation of business terms with external customers, ensuring alignment with corporate policies and risk tolerance.
• Own end-to-end contract development, including drafting, cross-functional review, approvals, and final customer delivery.
• Partner with Legal and cross-functional teams to finalize contract language and ensure compliance with regulatory and internal requirements.
• Perform deal modeling and pricing analysis using historical data, market trends, and competitive insights.
• Ensure accurate contract execution, including system setup, pricing loads, approval tracking, and data integrity.
• Manage complex agreement structures (e.g., rebates, consignment, compliance commitments, GPO/IDN implementations).
• Lead the RFP process, including drafting, evaluation, and submission coordination.
• Support and train sales teams on contracting tools, policies, and negotiation strategies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree OR equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Minimum 5-7 years of combined experience in business, accounting, or finance.
• Advanced Excel skills with ability to develop custom pricing and deal models; proficiency in Word and PowerPoint.
• Prior experience with Salesforce, CLM, CPQ, SAP, Power BI, Copilot, Smartsheet, and contract workflow tools (e.g., Conga, DocuSign) is preferred.
