Contract BD - Regen Medicine

6-month contract (6–12 months preferred), remote (US-based), 20–40 hrs/week. Competitive fractional rate.

About the role

A well-funded advanced manufacturing company working at the frontier of regenerative medicine is hiring a Contract BD Lead to convert warm scientific relationships into signed commercial agreements with Big Pharma, clinical biotech, and CROs. The platform is differentiated, the technical story holds up under scrutiny, and the market is early. The company is optimizing for speed and buy signals over pipeline breadth.

Responsibilities

• Drive signed milestone agreements with Big Pharma R&D, clinical biotech, and CRO targets within 90 days of start.
• Own the full commercial cycle from warm intro through scoping, proposal, negotiation, and close, alongside the CCO.
• Engage VP Translational Science, SVP R&D, and CSO-level buyers; navigate procurement and legal efficiently.
• Get supply contracts with tier-1 iPSC and organoid cell providers in motion.
• Shape outreach materials that survive pharma R&D scrutiny—data packages, one-pagers, pricing, value propositions.
• Build and maintain the competitive supplier catalogue with pricing benchmarks that ground the manufacturing story.
• Identify net-new opportunities across the organoid and iPSC ecosystem from partnership signals and R&D investment patterns.

Requirements

• A live, open network at CSO and VP R&D level in Big Pharma or clinical biotech—warm, not cold.
• Proven closing record on scientific/technical commercial deals, not just qualified pipeline.
• Fluency in regenerative medicine, iPSC, or organoid platforms—enough to hold a room of R&D scientists.
• Comfort running procurement and legal processes end to end.
• A 90-day mindset: this is measured on signatures, not activity.

Nice to have

• Co-marketing or co-development partnership experience with organoid platform companies and CROs.
• Existing relationships with top-20 pharma R&D organizations.
• Prior fractional or interim work—you land and add value fast.
