About the role
The Department of Social Services – Finance is seeking a Full-Time 40 Hours Weekly position. For more information, visit dss.sd.gov.
Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor the contract process for the Department of Social Services.
- Review contracts to ensure compliance with DSS and State/Federal standards.
- Collaborate with divisions of DSS and other state agencies in modernizing processes and implementing system updates to streamline operations.
- Aid team members in learning and applying new techniques and implement change management techniques within the Division of Finance.
- Assist with the year-end accrual process.
- Complete the preparation of federal financial reports.
- Consult with DSS personnel regarding financial data within their area.
- Participate and assist in the development of policies and procedures.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a financial or business-related field preferred.
- Equivalent combination of education and directly related experience may be considered.

Pay
Annual Salary, depending on qualifications: $64,895.04 - $97,342.56
