Client is a multinational consumer goods company that manufactures a wide range of products in categories such as healthcare, personal care, household cleaning, and baby and feminine care.
About the role
Leading Florida municipal utility providing electric and water services to Orlando, St. Cloud, and parts of unincorporated Orange and Osceola counties. This 12-month hybrid role (in-office Tuesday–Thursday, remote Monday & Friday) is responsible for the administration, performance, and growth of the utility's non-regulated products and services portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Develop, negotiate, execute, and administer contracts for non-regulated products and services; ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, procurement standards, and regulatory guidelines.
- Monitor contract performance, service level agreements (SLAs), pricing, renewals, amendments, and expirations; resolve disputes and coordinate with Legal, Procurement, and Risk Management.
- Maintain accurate contract documentation and records.
- Manage the lifecycle and performance of non-regulated products and services, including:
- Outdoor Lighting Programs
- Indoor Lighting Solutions and Rebates
- Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Infrastructure
- Emerging energy technologies and customer energy solutions
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with contractors, suppliers, and service providers; establish performance metrics, conduct evaluations, and ensure compliance with safety, insurance, licensing, and contractual obligations.
- Oversee customer projects from initiation through completion, coordinating internal departments (Engineering, Operations, Construction, Customer Service, Finance, Procurement, Legal); monitor schedules, budgets, risks, and deliverables.
- Develop and manage operating and capital budgets; monitor revenues, expenses, profitability, and return on investment; review invoices, contract payments, and financial reconciliations; prepare forecasts and reports.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for complex customer issues; build long-term relationships with commercial, municipal, and institutional customers; collaborate with Key Account Managers to identify needs and recommend energy solutions.
- Identify opportunities to expand non-regulated services; support sales initiatives and strategic marketing efforts; develop partnerships that increase customer participation and revenue.
- Develop KPIs to measure revenue growth, contract performance, vendor performance, customer satisfaction, project completion, and budget performance; prepare executive dashboards and management reports.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, utility regulations, procurement requirements, and applicable laws; identify and mitigate operational and contractual risks.
- Evaluate business processes and recommend improvements; implement best practices for contract administration and vendor management; support digital transformation initiatives (CRM, contract management systems).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- Minimum of five years of experience in procurement as a buyer or contract administration involving contract specifications, negotiating, and monitoring compliance of existing contracts.
- Experience in the utility industry preferred.
- Experience managing commercial contracts and supplier relationships.
- Working knowledge of:
- Contracts, amendments, solicitation documents, addendums, requisitions, agenda items, project schedules.
- Business contracts and procurement for electric and water utility systems.
- Software applications including Salesforce, CCB, Hubble, JD-Edwards (or similar ERP), Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
- Customer Information Systems (e.g., Customer Care & Billing), Tungsten Workflow, Documentum (or similar enterprise content management).
- Strong financial, negotiation, and analytical skills; ability to calculate contract escalator ratios using industry-recognized market indexes.
- Excellent writing skills for contract terms and language; conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
- Ability to think creatively in solving problems and making effective decisions; perform arithmetic computations using whole numbers, fractions, decimals, rates, ratios, and percentages.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and standard office equipment.
Pay
$35.00 – $40.00/hr on W2.
